A few of my favourite performances from Woodford Folk Fest 23/24. One of my most cherished festivals and adored places on Earth.

I heard someone describe Woodford as a beautiful sling shot into the New Year and I really resonate with that. An epic sling shot into the New Year but also back into life in general. I’ve never left Woodford without a heart filled with new appreciations, new insights and of course new friends. 💕🌈 Full of so many beautiful, kind, creative and open-minded people that just make this huge rainbow salad of dancing awesomeness (regardless of the weather🔥 🛶😂🦋 )..

Oh the memories this man would have!

A beautiful story I heard about Campbell, was when @woodfordfolkfestival was in financial strife many moons ago, and it was looking like the festival could no longer go forward, Campbell donated his life savings to the festival so that it could continue on. Because of this man, it did, and I’m sure so many of us have some beautiful #woodfordia memories and friends because of it.

2023 🙏💛 What a damn ride! If I am completely honest, I have to say it wasn’t an easy one for me. I met the saddest and happiest parts of me this year. For the most part, it felt like a never ending rollercoaster with lots of upside down loops in it, that brought up deeply suppressed emotional turbulence from the darkest corners of my soul 🌈😂 BUT!! I kept pushing through and I’m happy to say we ended on the latter. Things are feeling good again! Life is feeling really yummy right now. It wasn’t an easy feit and I just really want to cheer squad the heck out of myself for continuing to show up for my highest self, when I could have easily chosen not too. Sometimes you need to fight for the space and solitude you need to find true healing and I’m happy to say I won the damn battle! Officially on the other side of a darker chapter. I’ve got the spring in my step again, a smile in my heart again and rainbows and fairy dust pulsating through my veins again 😂🧚💛🙏🌈 Looking forward to seeing what blooms out of 2024 😍 💃🏻 We are starting with buckets full of joy at our side anyway ✨✨✨✨🌈🌈🌈🌈💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

I remember when I was 13 years old, I found myself in a pirated CD market stall in Bangkok’s famous Khaosan Road and I stumbled upon 50 Cent’s 2 albums, ‘Massacre’ and ‘Get Rich or Die Trying.’ I know I’m not alone, when I say I used to crush hard on 50 😂💛 so this is where my love affair began 😂 Pretty damn cool seeing all those songs I used to have on repeat as a teenager play out in front of me from the man himself. Even with the lyrics of that era not standing a chance in today’s political environment 😂 the nostalgia is worth it’s weight in gold. These days my gangster heart is heavily neglected, but early 2000’s gangster and R n B will always be entwined in my soul 🙏💛 #50cent #love

4 choices that supported my 2023 journey of healin

4 choices that supported my 2023 journey of healing to happiness, include (but not limited to) the following:

1)Prioritising education over entertainment. That is minimising my time on social media (most of the year…but not lately 😂) and opting for things like silence, a physical book, an audiobook, podcast or youtube, instead.

2)Eating a whole foods diet + eating more protein. I am still plant based BUT this year I have been experimenting with increasing my protein macros, aiming for between 130g - 150 per day, and I’ve noticed some positive mental and physical changes that I believe are directly related to such changes.

3)Making time for nature. In this busy, overstimulated world, we don’t often give ourselves time to just BE…without our phones, without our headphones. I have a nature walk near my house where I leave everything behind, and I go as often as I can. This gives me time to just be with me and the natural world around me. It’s cool just to see where my mind wants to go and I just let it do it’s thing. No pressure, no expectation, I just let it run wild…like a dog finally getting taken off it’s leash at a beach 😂👌🏽 Our mind needs that sometimes. Freedom. A moment in time when it’s not being interrupted and clouded by the thoughts, “facts” and feelings of others…like our logarithm so consistently provides. It’s nice to make the time to CONNECT and I can’t recommend this enough! 🌳 🐍🧚🦶
